Welcome to the Grounding Guide! Thanks for having me in your inbox.

I'm Mandy Heisler, a licensed therapist in Maryland, and this is my new mental health newsletter!

Mental health impacts everyone’s quality of life, and having open conversations about it can help spread awareness and reduce the stigma & misconceptions. As a therapist, I'm passionate about sharing resources and things I've learned to support others with their mental health and well-being.

"Grounding" is a common self-soothing skill that people can use if they're having a bad day or dealing with overwhelming feelings, high stress, and/or intense anxiety. While an email isn't a replacement or alternative to actual therapy, it's a great tool for sharing information and can be a grounding routine for many.
